Why are some organizations able to thrive during periods of uncertainty while others struggle to find firmer footing? While it’s easy to assume it has to do with something distinctive about their product or service offering, the truth is that it’s something far more fundamental.
While we all understand that it’s a leader’s responsibility to set goals for your team and plans for how they can go about to achieve them, what the most successful leaders understand is that we need to go deeper than this if we are to inspire and empower employees to deliver their best efforts.
Namely, we need to ensure that the goals we set out for team to achieve this year are also tied to the noble purpose that defines why we do what we do.
But how do we do that? How do we make sure we connect the ‘what’ of our days to the ‘why’ that defines our future?
